Dr. Randy Garrison
Description:
Since 2001, Randy Garrison has been overseeing the long-term direction and development of programs at the TLC. He is committed to enhancing teaching and learning on campus and works with senior administration, faculties, departments and university committees to meet this goal. Randy is inspired by the challenge of facilitating transformative change in teaching and learning, and feels that it is an essential part of attracting the best faculty and students to U of C.
Randy also manages and conducts research on innovative teaching and learning approaches and designs. He recently co-authored an award-winning book on blended learning in higher education.
Prior to leading the TLC, Randy was the Dean of the Faculty of Extension at the University of Alberta. His off-campus passions include golf, fitness and supporting his daughter in her athletic endeavors.
