Copyright Revisited – New Rules to Benefit Education
The copyright landscape has changed yet again = resulting in changes and benefits for users in the educational community. Spend a half hour learning how new amendments plus new procedures at the University of Calgary can assist in planning your course materials - including images and video. Three topics will be discussed:
1) Purchase of Ares copyright management software and the centralization of copyright clearance and payment
2) Use of images and charts under new fair dealing exception
3) Use of cinematographic works in a class. Presentation will be 30 minutes with an additional 30 minutes for questions at the end of the workshop.
